# Potato Lentil Patties for Babies

Ingredients:

1 medium potato, boiled
1/4 cup cooked lentils (for example, orange masoor dal)

Oat flour to coat

Seasoning of your choice, for example, basil, garlic, thyme, to taste

How to prepare:

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C for approx 10 minutes

2. Add the mashed lentils with mashed potatoes and add seasoning of your choice. I added garlic and basil for my patties.

3. Take the mixture and form into sticks, about 2 fingers wide and 1 finger long.

4. Roll the sticks in oat flour and bake for 15-20 minutes until they brown slightly.

Allow the patties to cool down before serving. Serve with fresh hummus, tomato sauce or any other sauce of your choice.

# Vegetable Fritters

Ingredients:

2 spoons shredded zucchini

1 spoon shredded carrot

1 spoon finely shredded broccoli

1 spoon Mozzarella cheese grated

2 eggs, beaten

1/4 cup cornmeal

1/4 cup all purpose flour or oat flour

2 tablespoons coconut oil for shallow fry

Directions:

1. Place shredded zucchini on a clean kitchen towel and allow it to soak the water for 5-10 minutes

2. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients together including veggies, cheese and egg and mix well.

3. Heat a large skillet and add some coconut oil.

4. Flatten the mixture to form thin fritters and cook over medium heat until they turn golden brown.

Offer to babies cut into thin finger sized strips if between 6-9 months old and into small bite sized pieces if they’re above 9 months old and have built their pincer grasp.
